Hildene is the historic home of the Lincoln Family. President Lincoln’s son and wife visited here in 1864, and having become enchanted by the beauty of the area, built an estate that is today a marvel of architecture, landscape and scenery in Vermont. Beautiful formal gardens, a 24 room estate, carriage house, observatory and miles of walking trails make this one of the must-see stops in Manchester Vermont.
